We have received numerous calls about the formula shortage issues this week. While we know it is not ideal it may be necessary to look at other stores or locations for the formula or even change the formula you are currently giving. We do not recommend giving goats milk, evaporated milk, or starting whole milk (under 1 year of age) in place of the formula. Unfortunately our office is not getting samples like we used to due to the shortage. If you have questions about switching formulas or brands we are happy to help, just call and speak with one of our nurses.
If you know of places that have formula in stock please let us know or comment below so we can share with our families!

Perhaps you have heard about changes at the hospital next door and wondered what that means for Pediatric & Adolescent Care. Sadly, we learned last month that the hospital is closing both the general pediatric floor and the pediatric intensive care unit effective May 1. Pediatric surgical services will be maintained at St. John. While we are disappointed by Ascension’s plan, it will have little impact on day to day operations at PAC. We’ve always been proud to be an independent practice with admitting privileges at multiple hospitals, including both St. John and Saint Francis. This allows us to serve patients with diverse medical needs and varying insurance networks effectively. Although this change affects our options for nonsurgical hospital admissions, we are working closely with the Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis to ensure a smooth transition.
